Takahagi Chinatsu (髙萩千夏) is a 1st generation member and leader of Up Up Girls (2).

Prior to joining Up Up Girls (2), she was active as a member of the local idol group Icle Girls.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Takahagi Chinatsu was born on July 4, 1997 in Fukushima, Japan.

2013-2016[]

Takahagi became a member of the local idol group Icle Girls in 2013. She graduated from the group in early 2016.

2017[]

On February 25, it was announced that Takahagi had become a member of Up Up Girls (2), alongside Yoshikawa Mayu, Kajishima Aya, Hashimura Riko.

On November 26, at Up Up Girls (2)'s first solo live, it was announced by Mori Saki that Takahagi was the leader of the group.[1]

2022[]

On April 18, Takahagi Chinatsu digitally released her first solo song "Mirai no Aizu".[2]

On July 14, it was announced that Takahagi Chinatsu, Nakagawa Chihiro, and Niikura Ami had been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19. A staff member had reported a fever, and ended up testing positive after taking a PCR test. As a result, all of Up Up Girls (2) took PCR tests as well, and the three of theme were confirmed positive. All three of them are in stable physical condition, and would concentrate on treatment under the direction of health centers and medical institutions.[3]

    • On December 5, 2023, Takahagi Chinatsu changed her Up Up Girls (2) member color to pink. She revealed her favorite color has always been pink, not light blue as all of her outfits and goods had been since 2021. As the leader, she was not able to be selfish to claim the color for herself first, but made the decision to switch to pink once the color was available.[5][6]
