Reiwa no Gyaruru (Kari) (令和のギャルル(仮) was an audition held by Tokyo Broadcasting Systems (one of the leading private broadcasters in Japan with 27 televion channels and 33 affiliated radio stations) where Tsunku was looking to revive the group Gyaruru with a new incarnation for the Reiwa era. The news was announced on January 18, 2024, nearly 17 years since the group was active.
1.000 girls sent in their application, and after six months of screening, the eight new members were selected from thirteen final candidates.
Audition Process[]
The first stage of the audition was face to face audition With Tsunku, which was broadcast on 5/16.
From 5/23, several People will appear on two live broadcast TV. Evaluation Points were given based of aptitude for variety shows, ability to respond on live broadcasts. On 5/23 Kamiya, Ojasu, Ishii were on the show; on 5/30 Kimura, Tomoyuki, Narishi; on 6/6 Matsui, Kono, Shirakawa, Kawachi; and on 6/13 Ikuta, Adachi, Toyama. Successful candidates was decided by the overall judgment of 1 and 2, and karaoke groups of 4-5 people was planned.
The audition was hosted by Gal Sone, a regular on the show and former member of Gyaruru, consisting of Gal Sone, Tokito Ami, and Abe Asami. They appeared and performed on the audition broadcast the previous year.[1] [2] [3]
The selected members will perform a new song written and composed by Tsunku on the show this summer.
Screening process[]
25 people were selected from over 1,000 applicants, both professional and amateur, through remote screening. Dance and singing auditions conducted in person. 13 people move on to the final round. Names in bold were selected as winners:

- Adachi Rena (安達玲奈) (21), from Tokyo, former member of idol group "Yumemiru Adolescence"
- Toyama Himeka (遠山姫禾) (15), from Aichi, youngest auditioner
- Tomori Kaho (友利花歩) (26), from Tokyo, full-time housewife
- Ojasu (おじゃす) (19), from Osaka, Over 4.6 million TikTok followers
- Yumichii [Kimura Yumi] (ゆみちぃ［木村友美］) (20), from Kanagawa Prefecture, younger sister of talent Yukipoyo
- Kouchi Rise (河知莉聖) (20), from Tokyo, former child actor
- Matsui Sawa (松井沙和) (22) Former Thursday AD (assistant director) for the TBS program "LOVE it!"
- Kono Rio (河野莉緒) (22), from Ibaraki Prefecture, current female university student

- Nakazaki Kanon annouced she participated in the audition.
- Gal Sone, one of the original members from 2008, applied for the 2024 audition but was eliminated during the document screening.[4]
